Students from Ta\u2019allum Academies were honoured to feature very prominently in this year\u2019s annual Holy Qu\u2019ran Competition. There were a total of 1142 student winners from across the three Academies. This figure included 529 students from Al Maha Boys\u2019 Academy, 353 from Al Maha Girls and 260 from Al Jazeera.<\/p>

Commitment to this reverential and respected competition has been increasing year on year for Ta\u2019allum students.
This respected national competition is an established and traditional event in the schools\u2019 calendar. Held for the 58th time this year, it is sponsored by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) in collaboration with and under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The competition seeks to demonstrate Qatar\u2019s commitment to serving the Qur\u2019an and to developing understanding of the Qur\u2019an.<\/p>

Dr Mohammed Saefan, Ta\u2019allum Director of Education, said \u2018We are very pleased to see the increasing commitment of Ta\u2019allum students to the Holy Qu\u2019ran competition. It is central to our Ta\u2019allum vision of quality education based on an Islamic ethos that aims to serve humanity.
